Team India multi-talented person Washington Sundar shared a clip of him working out hard to get back in shape after another injury battle.
After being sacked, the 22-year-old returned to the international cricket arena in the ODI series against West Indies last month. He impressed in the first game when he came back 3-30.
Sundar also contributed 24 and 33 with clubs in the next two ODIs. However, his return was short-lived as he injured his hamstring playing in the final game of the series and was ruled out of subsequent T20Is. He also did not feature in the series against Sri Lanka.
On Wednesday, the off-spinner player shared a story on Insta in which he was seen working hard to get back to full fitness. Sundar shared a clip with the lyrics of the inspirational song “Face Off”. He shared these lines:
“It’s about drive, it’s about power
We’re still hungry, we’re gobbling
Get the job done, take the time and take what’s ours (ahoo)
Black and Samoan in my veins
My culture is associated with Strange. “
The young tennis player has had a tough time with injuries and fitness problems at the end of the year. He was knocked out of the UAE group stage at IPL 2021 due to a finger injury and did not recover in time for the T20 World Cup. He also missed his tour of South Africa after testing positive for COVID-19.
“Not thinking about Washington Sundar at this point” – Aakash Chopra on India’s T20 World Cup squad
According to former India player Aakash Chopra, Sundar is not among the top candidates to make it into the T20 World Cup Team of the Year for Australia later this year. He said that Ravindra Jadeja is India’s No. 1 turn-around player and the team won’t need too many turnaround players in Australia.
Speaking on his YouTube channel a few days ago, the 44-year-old asserted:
“I’m not thinking about the Washington Sundar at the moment. He’s there in the mind but I’m not convinced because his batting in the T20s lowers the order, I’m not particularly convinced. So I probably won’t go towards him. If we talk about holistic people, Ravindra Jadeja is already confirmed there. There will be no questions there. It’s Australia, so I would say there’s no need to use too many cameramen. ”
Unbelievable. Sincere prayers to his family, friends and fans. Rest in peace Shane Warne. https://t.co/iDaSMijocr
