David Ortizthe Legend of the Boston Red Soxand his wife, Tiffany Ortiz, decided to go their separate ways last year, ending a 25-year relationship. Tiffany made an announcement on social media, quelling all rumors.

In an Instagram post, Tiffany said that the breakup was amicable and that David and she will continue to be friends and co-parents to their wonderful children. They have 3 children together.
“For the past 25 years, David and I have shared a beautiful adventure in love and partnership. We’ve decided to enter a new phase of our journey together, not as an individual. way as a couple, but as friends and each other’s parents. our wonderful kids,” she said.

Things were not always smooth sailing for the Ortizs. David filed for divorce in 2013 after 11 years of marriage.
“There are certain situations in life that go on over a period of time and at some point they just don’t work anymore and you have to move on. I’m moving on. She’s moving on. Hopefully people will. respect that,” David recounted MLB.com in an interview.
However, the two reconciled the following year, when Tiffany told the Boston Herald in 2014 that she and Ortiz “missed each other terribly” while they were living apart.

The couple have had their ups and downs in their two decades together, most notably a June 2019 scene of David in the Dominican Republic, where he underwent a six-hour surgery. At the time, an emotional Tiffany paid tribute to her then-husband on Father’s Day, saying his fear for his health had given their family “a a new appreciation of life and a realization of what really matters.”

No matter what they say and do, the former couple is always conscious of their contribution and dedication to society. In 2007, Tiffany and David co-founded David Ortiz Children’s Foundation; a charity that “provides essential support to children in the Dominican Republic and in New England who cannot afford the vital cardiovascular services they need.”
While David Ortiz and ex-wife Tiffany Ortiz may not be together yet, they have left an indelible mark on the baseball brotherhood.
