Shawn Porter is looking to change that. Porter, a former WBC welterweight belt holder, will be up against his latest challenge in pursuit of regaining the belt on Saturday.

Crawford did not face an opponent on a par with Porter. At 37-0, with 28 kills, Crawford has dominated his competition, but he is yet to face one of the top names in boxing as he has risen to the level where He is currently considered one of the top three pounds for boxers in the world.
Porter has plenty of big names on his record, which has seen him battle a 31-3-1 record with 17 knockdowns. He first won the IBF Welterweight Championship in 2013 to Devon Alexander before losing to Brook in the following two fights in 2014. He fought and lost to Keith Thurman for the WBA WBA belt in 2016 and won. WBC WBC title in 2018 to Danny Garcia, before losing against Errol Spence Jr in the IBF title match in 2019.

Crawford and Porter will battle in the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Neither boxer has ever fought at the Michelob Ultra Arena inside the resort before, although both have extensive Vegas experience. Crawford defeated Brook at the MGM Grand Convention Center and won his belt at the same venue in 2018.
This will be Porter’s first game in Nevada since beating Adrien Broner in 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
