After a brief hiatus, the fourth season of Strange things ends on Netflix this week. The next seven days also brought a spy thriller starring Chris Pratt, several July 4 specials, and the final season of a long-running DC Comics show.

Big show
Netflix is not one of those splits of its series, especially the scripted ones. But with the size of Stranger Things 4 and both Netflix and the Duffer brothers are interested in getting it to viewers, the streamer made an exception. Seven episodes of the show’s fourth season premiere at the end of May, and the other two – combined at a rate of nearly four hours – will arrive on Friday. The conclusion will likely resolve the remaining conflicts hanging after “episode one” and establish the show’s fifth and final season.

After several years of fighting comic book villains and taming dinosaurs, Chris Pratt returns to television to star. Terminal list (Friday, Prime Video), a thriller in which Pratt’s Navy SEALs uncover a conspiracy. Disney+’s Baymax! (Wednesday) later Big Hero 6 robot when he tries to help people, even when they don’t want to. Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps Return for Season Two of Expansion ones (Wednesday, Netflix). Series of contests Bridge premieres the second season on Thursday on HBO Max.

Boom: The 4th of July brings an annual special pair filled with music and fireworks. NBC has Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular Fireworks from New York and PBS will broadcast A Fourth Capitol from Washington. Both are booked at 8pm
Also: The Flash ends season eight on The CW at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The reborn USFL opens its championship game at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT Sunday on Fox.
On cable…
New: A&E . two-part documentary The Right to Crime: The Black Comedy Revolution examines how comedians have used their work to shed light on the black experience in America, while fighting injustice and social change. It features interviews with Tiffany Haddish, W. Kamau Bell, Kevin Hart (also executive producer), Steve Harvey, Amber Ruffin and a host of others, along with extensive archival material and airing at the time. 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
Also: Season two of British crime drama We hunt together premieres at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Showtime. CMT broadcast every year Let Freedom Sing concert from Nashville at 10 p.m. Monday.
