Well, guys, another week has come and gone. In terms of live news, it’s certainly a bit quiet…until that’s not the case! Yes, on the weekend, Nintendo decided to announce Everyone 1-2 Switch! The sequel to the polarizing launch game, 1-2 Switch!, launches on June 30, 2023.

Not only that, we also learned that there are two pairs pastel themed Joy-Con controller also coming out on the same day, great!

In other news, the people above Important role made a special feature ‘one-shot’ tabletop RPG tears of the kingdomIts very own Hyrule. Speed runners also need to watch a recent video about one player beat the newest Zelda in less than an hour – What?! That is crazy.

It was also revealed that Sonic’s co-creator Yuji Naka could face more than two years in prison after his insider trading scandal, while it seems Longtime Capcom producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has left the company after nearly 30 years.

Now it’s time to relax and play some games. Our writers lay out their weekend plans below, and we’d love to hear from you, too!

Jim Norman, editor

I don’t deny that I was wrong about this before, but I do think I’m getting to the end of the main Tears of the Kingdom story now. My goal is to roll the credits on this huge monster and then turn off and play something else for a while before coming back and starting reality game that explores the remaining 99% of the world that I feel I’ve missed so far.

So that will be my weekend – predictably – playing Zelda. Maybe next week I’ll break the chain… Or maybe I’ll find out that I actually have a huge amount of story left and I’ll be playing this game forever. Oh my gosh, it’s definitely the latter, isn’t it…

Ollie Reynolds, editor

I’m still pausing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom; it becomes a longer break at this point. Instead, I’m still trying to get through biological shock and i also started Elysium Discotheque. The fiasco around ZA|UM somehow made me eager to play it again.

On Series X, I’m playing through Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain. It’s a great game; I love it.

Craig Reid, Contributor

Ahoy everyone, this weekend I will be trapped in the dark and chaotic universe of Diablo IV. This time around, I’m building a brutal, colorful bear drug. In addition to adventures throughout Sanctuary, I’d love to see Game Grumps’ new horror game, homie. I’m a longtime fan of the game Grumps, learned a lot dream dad (for about two years, the title song Dream Daddy was my ringtone).

I’m also going on a little trip this weekend, so best bring my OLED Switch for the occasional Tears of the Kingdom session.

Wish you happy gaming!

Gonçalo Lopes, Critic

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun still on my “to do list”, I have just completed a few levels for The Emperor and really want to finish it. However, it’s a sneaky release by HR Project Games Gyro gunnera surprise sequel to their more vanilla shmup but no less excellent gyroscope which has my attention this weekend. This time it’s a two stick shooting game with a lot of buzz for very little money. Don’t miss it, especially if you like challenging reflexes and high score chases.

Game of the week is still The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It has taken over my life. Spent almost 20 minutes alone per session scanning amiibo drops daily.

Zion Grassl, Premium Video Producer

I never really felt like I had so much time these days for video games, but maybe that’s because I’m always comparing and reminiscing about how much I invested in them as a kid. ? Somehow, though, I managed to sink almost a hundred hours into The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in just the first three weeks, but strangely enough, I didn’t really feel it. How strange that so many of our readers and viewers spend all their time on it too!

So, no surprise, I’m going back to the land of Hyrule again. Like I do every weekend, and probably will in the near future. Losing the Zelda game again is pure bliss and I don’t want it to happen any other way.

Alana Hagues, Deputy Editor

After a few weeks of missing WAYP… Basically, I’m still playing Tears of the Kingdom. I don’t think I should share my hours at this point, but I’ve convinced myself that I’ll give my best for this match. Ask me about that thing for a few weeks, especially after a specific PS5 RPG release

It’s all from me! Wish you happy gaming! And I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine.
