What will you play this weekend? (June 4)

It’s June and this month is PACKED with new game releases and lots of summer gaming events! No, not E3, even though that’s what we’re calling it – “not-E3“. This week, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have a November release date! And it will be official first open world main game. We also reviewed Sonic Frontiers’ Open World and some fighting. And footage of a The canceled Kirby GameCube game has been discovered beginning of the week.

In other news, Card Shark’s “witty writing” and “tense gameplay” surprise us. True Regards asked a big question this week – Why doesn’t Nintendo do more with its music? And Kate wrote about saddest games you can play on Switchfor when you need a good cry.

Now is the time to relax and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few mThe Nintendo Life team embers have done just that right below, so feel free to read our articles and then join in with your own via our comments section. Interesting!

So I guess I maybe say I’m playing something brand new this weekend, but let’s not joke around here. A remake of Resident Evil 4 confirmed, so of course I’ll be back to play through Switch version for the 1,115th *test* notes. If you haven’t gathered yet, I’m a little excited!

Elsewhere, I’m walking on a Star Wars high after watching the first three episodes of the special Obi-Wan Kenobi series, so I’m back to play Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic before the upcoming release of its sequel. Both games are great depictions of the extended universe and it makes me very sad that it’s not considered canon anymore. Heck, it is correct as far as I am concerned – take thatDisney.

I still feel the need, the need for speed. Besides Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy + on my 3DS, I fell prey to the pleasures of After Burner Climax on the non-Nintendo system I play every day. Too bad you can’t buy this anymore, worse than it was never released on Switch. Packages from the East Chrono Cross and Hishou Similar! Similar! Similar! (a game I first encountered and fell in love with on ZX Spectrum) on a weekend shooting schedule.

Game of the week is awesome Galacticon! I can’t stop playing this game every chance I get and chasing those high scores. It’s pure arcade happiness!

This weekend is my partner’s birthday so we’ll mostly be doing outdoor things and eating cake, but in the midst of all the healthy stuff… i’m still playing Slay The Spire

Also, Elden Ring! We just went to Caria Manor and it was full of horrible finger spiders. This game is really weird.

Anyone else feeling a bit overwhelmed with the number of games releasing over the next few months? I don’t even plan on picking up any Nintendo first-party titles in June, but between now and the end of July, there are Six Game I want to pick (and at least four others I’m interested in). And with Summer Game Festival approaching, I don’t feel like things will slow down any time soon.

Either way, it’s time to clear up this weekend’s backlog with Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament. I never played this one because it didn’t launch in Europe. It’s more like the word Empire of Dreams, but it’s OK! I like that a lot. Having fun!

This week, I’m taking on one of the hardest challenges of all, something much harder than Bongo Souls or clearing Ghosts ‘n Goblins no save state – I would try to apply a screen saver to my 3DS without any dust getting under it.

This is an activity made doubly difficult on this console because you already have two screen for protection. The last system I did this on was Switch OLED and the tempered glass panel continued perfect just seconds after the panel comes out of the box. In contrast, this 3DS is a used item, and although a very clean specimen, it has been exposed to the atmosphere and I believe I used all my luck on the screen. OLED picture.

We shall see. Good luck, let me know any tips you have in the comments section below, and have a great weekend everyone.

As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!
