OH. This week has been so full of news, we’ll hesitate to add any more for fear of exploding. After long anticipating releases Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and Persona 5 Royal on Switch, who would have thought that Bayonetta 3 Will the movie overshadow them all? Welcome to the Nintendo world!

In addition to updating all your lovely readers with all the points around the aforementioned issue dubbing disputewe have been busy rate every Mario party title before the release of the first two games on Nintendo Switch online expansion pack next monthand break it all Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘S new wind enters the floors (completely factual and objective, of course).

We’ve also been trying to get in on some brand new games this week. Are from Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is very interesting and Persona 5 Royalarrive less than interesting Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway.

Here’s hoping that this weekend will be less dramatic so we all have time for fun gaming. Below, a group of our writers have shared their game plans for the coming days, and we want you to do the same! Read on and be sure to leave a comment below to let us know what you’re up to this weekend.

Happy reading!

The Nintendo gods supported me this week. I have finished Ao Dai last weekend (very sad) and then had to renew my NSO membership this week (also very sad), but I opted in to the Expansion Pack this time and I’m leaving for the weekend so there are two long trains ahead (very fun)!

All this new power means I’m sure to hit some N64 titles. At risk of sounding like a literal child, N64 was released before I was even born, so there are a lot of holes in my knowledge that I want to plug in. I’m thinking of starting with some F-Zero X and Banjo-Kazooie before diving in Fox star, fox 64.

Of course, the power can just go straight to my head and I’ll be the end of the game Ocarina of Time 200th time, but is that really a terrible thing? That’s right, Jim, you should play some different games.

As a complete WH40K bead, I’m looking forward to spending some quality time with Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef. October is coming to an end, but not without two other excellent AAA releases in the past week that I hope to find time to enjoy: the long-awaited and rumored Persona 5 Royal (the first mine with the game!) And Mario + Rabbids’ captivating new farce: Sparks of Hope. Add my continuous SD Gundam Battle Alliance campaign, and I’m pretty sure this weekend won’t complete all of the video game related missions that were planned.

Game of the week is still (still!) NieR: Automata. The game has been living free in my head since its release. So happy for this excellent transformation.

This weekend, I’ll be playing something I don’t need to play again at all – Persona 5 Royal. I hit vanilla Persona 5 previously on PS4, but didn’t get Royal when it came out, so I’d really like to know if the changes make this an even better game. I won’t have much time to dig into the story, but I’m still looking forward to visiting Shujin Academy in Tokyo again.

I would also pick Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope for some lovely lighthearted fun. Easier difficulty doesn’t bother me (I’m terrible at strategy games!), nor does it lack multiplayer. I just really wanted to play something silly and colorful. I suppose Persona 5 fits that brevity too!

Listen… You know what I’m going to play this weekend. You always do. Resident Evil 4. How can I not?! After seeing the incredible gameplay demonstration for the upcoming remake (obviously not on the Switch), I was hooked again, Again, a game that just brings me infinite joy and happiness. I’m not sure if I should take my time and experience the game as intended before launching the remake or just go through it at running speed. We shall see…

Elsewhere, I played a bit Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze; without a doubt one of the best wallpaper ever made. It’s nice to go back and study it again, since I haven’t touched it in a couple of years. Whether I will finish it this weekend, however, is another story.

This weekend I will watch my partner finish Virtue’s Ultimate Rewardplay a lot Disney Dreamlight Valleyand complete Limbo (which I really don’t want to do, uggggggggggggggggggggggggggg).

But! I would also like to thank a PC game that I would recommend. It is called The case of Golden Idoland if you like Return of Obra Dinn, you should absolutely give it a try. I finished it in a few hours, but I’m really impressed by it!!

We hope you enjoy reading! Be sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!
