When and how do we use it?
Day and night. I put it to nap in there and put it on the couch in the living room, or on our bed. This allows me to get work done, and if I choose to take a nap when he does, I know I won’t roll with him. We also use it before bed and that’s where he sleeps. In the morning, he woke up very alert and happy, and we let him kick and bounce in it while we talked to him and interacted for a while. For tummy time, we gently placed his arms and head on one side, and let his body curl up in the rest of the DockATot while he practiced holding that head up.
Would I recommend DockATot?
Right. 100%. Even my mother, who has an old-school style and a mindset of testing old versus new products, loves it. When she and my dad were here for the first few weeks, she used it constantly and talked about how helpful it was. I think that makes some sense!
However, I suppose it will depend on what you use it for. It’s our point of need to put your baby down, but if your child likes a recliner or swing, perhaps those will be better for your particular child. We just happen to use it for so many functions that I can say it’s worth the gold 🙂
So that’s the “deal” with DockATot that you keep hearing about. It’s minimal, fully functional, and my four week old baby loves it (and obviously a lot of other babies do too, considering how popular it is!). Here you have it. My honest review!
