So don’t hold your breath because WhatsApp avatars won’t appear any time soon.
Not only that, you will be able to use your Avatar as a stylish sticker to share with your contacts just like above Instagram or Facebook. The report also states that in the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.22.16.11, the company is still working on its profile picture project.
How can WhatsApp users use Avatars?
The WabetaInfo report also shares a glimpse of how Avatars will be part of the instant messaging app. The shared screenshot shows “there is a header image at the top of the section: it suggests that the avatars available on WhatsApp are taken from Facebook because they are the same. ” Just like Instagram or Facebook, you’ll be able to customize your profile picture in this section to be used as a sticker to share with your contacts. Sadly, the WhatsApp User Avatar feature is in development and there is no confirmation on when it will be released to users.
