When Bills OC Ken Dorsey knew Josh Allen was special

Buffalo Buffalo Josh Allen to be love the odds to win the NFL’s MVP, but he wasn’t always a star with the Bills.

On the podcast “The Season with Peter Schrager”, coordinator of the Bills . attack Ken Dorsey revealed to the host when he learned that Allen was special.

“My first year here, we made it to the playoffs against Houston…after that game, I knew he had the right make-up,” Dorsey said.

In a wild card game on January 4, 2020Allen made incredible matches against Texans as well as minders, including a late game that started promisingly but ended poorly.

In the Bills’ 22-19 loss, Allen completed 24 of 46 264-yard passes and dashed nine times to score a 92-foot high for his teammates. He also had a touchdown reception at 16 yards.

While he showed promise on the field that day, it was how Allen handled himself after the game that Dorsey knew what QB was capable of.

“He stood up in front of people and said, ‘Look, we have to be better, I have to be better,'” Dorsey said. “He knows that for us to take the next step, he has to take the next step.”

There’s no mistaking the leap Allen has made since his rookie season, and it’s no coincidence Buffalo is in the midst of the best football period of the last 30 years.

During his rookie season in 2018, Allen played 12 games, completing 52.8% of his passes for an average of 172.8 yards per game. This season, Allen is completing 66.9% of his passes with an average of 330 yards/game leading the league.

According to Oddschecker, Allen is the favorite to win MVP Award at +125and Invoices are favorites to win Super Bowl at +290.

As Dorsey said, he bet this day will come before anyone else.
