Who is Moon Knight’s secret third personality? Marvel’s show teases mystery

With the fourth volume, Moonlight Knight yes really hit its stride as a chain, but the show hasn’t run out of secrets to reveal or twist to tease. “The Tomb” features new characters, new locations, and a whole new look at Marc Spector and Steven Grant’s messy relationship. And it reveals something else at the same time, by giving viewers a clear hint that there’s a third personality lurking around the corners of the show.

[Ed. note: This piece contains spoilers for Moon Knight through episode 4, “The Tomb.”]

“The Tomb” ends with Marc trapped in what appears to be his own mental space, in the form of a sterile, white mental hospital. straight from Marvel itself Moonlight Knight comic. Right after Marc finds Steven inside a stone coffin, and just before the two run screaming at the hippo-headed Egyptian goddess Taweret, they come across another room with a sarcophagus in it.

This one is a lot scarier, standing upright and wobbling from side to side as if someone were trapped in it, and they understandably get through it unabashedly. This is the series’ clearest hint to date that there’s a third personality sharing Marc and Steven’s bodies, but it’s not the first.

That came Moonlight Knightsecond episode, “The Friendly Kind,” where Steven experiences a blackout while battling some of Arthur Harrow’s henchmen and wakes up to find they’ve been brutally subdued – and Marc doesn’t remember anything about it either. kill those men. As in “The Tomb”, Moonlight Knight move quickly from that revelation without lying deep on it.

But for savvy viewers, this might leave people wondering about Steven’s other blackouts that Marc didn’t directly endorse. Is it really Marc, who recently left his wife for her safety, who asked Steven’s cute colleague out on a date? And if not, who did?

Who are the other Moon Knight personalities?

Different guises of Moon Knight, from left to right: Marc Spector, Jake Lockley, Steven Grant and Moon Knight. “Jake, a street smart taxi driver who hears everything!,” and “Steven Grant, whose Wall Street sorcery combined Spector’s modest savings into a millionaire’s fortune!

In the history of Marvel Comics, the head of Marc Spector has belonged to many people (including in 2011 Moonlight Knight series by Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, characters based on Spider-Man, Captain America and Wolverine). But in the character’s first comiche has only three facets: Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley.

Three personalities allow the hero to have a life in all walks of superhero society: Moon Knight / Marc Spector as a trained mercenary / avatar, Steven Grant as the billionaire who funded all the that, and salt of- earth taxi driver Jake Lockley, to track down the criminal underworld.

Is it Jake Lockley in Moon Knight?

Hard to say. Right now we all really know about the secret third personality in Moonlight Knight on Disney Plus is that they’re even more capable of violence than Marc, and that’s completely out of line with Jake’s comic version.

But then again, the show’s Steven is a far cry from the comic book’s pompous billionaire. We can also take a look at Jake as a whole – or a completely original personality locked in that coffin.

Either way, with only two episodes left and a terrifying white refugee camp to escape to, Moonlight Knight can’t keep this secret under the (mummy) wrapper much longer.
