Wholesome Direct 2022’s biggest announcements and trailers

There is certainly no shortage of innovative, unique indie games in our future. Transparent Saturday’s supplement live – a showcase of indie games from a wide range of genres – almost 100 indie games were on display. There are several new announcements, game developer interviews, drawings, and updates on the announced titles.

A lot of the games shown during Wholesome Direct look promising, but we’ve rounded up some of the hottest titles.

Spirit Swap: Lofi Beats to Match-3 To is a match-3 puzzle game with background music and a lofi story. Launched in 2023, Spirit Swap there was a new trailer and demo launching at Wholesome Direct.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is the first follow-up, welcome Coffee Talk, a talking simulator set in a cafe. The movie is slated to premiere in 2023, and a new trailer debuted at Wholesome Direct.

ODDADA looks like a musical toy made from a classy village where all the houses are musical instruments. You can play with it this year via Steam.

What if you’re a kaiju who wants to start dating? That is the premise of Kaichu: The Kaiju Dating SimThere’s new gameplay coming out during the broadcast.

Soulitaire got the first trailer in Wholesome Direct, showcasing the card-based gameplay in this story and interpretation game.

Paper traces Featuring stunning art and a unique concept: You have to fold the pages of the world to cycle through the game. Its first trailer is out now, and the game is slated to launch in 2023.

PuffPals: Island Skies It’s still years away, but it really has everything I could ask for in a life sim – farming, cute creatures, custom avatars, and room decor.

There are a lot of bears in video games these days, and a lot of them are super cute. The bear in Little Bear Chef no exception – who doesn’t want to play the part of a cute bear cooking in the kitchen?

Snufkin: Moominvalley’s Melodies is a cute musical adventure game scheduled to be released in 2023.

Melodyssey described as a stress-free adventure game with ASMR elements, was announced at Wholesome Direct on Saturday.
