Wilfried Zaha attacks Chelsea’s Reece James before deleting Instagram story


Wilfried Zaha seems to have objected Reece James on Instagram later Chelsea The defender hinted he had the Crystal Palace attacker in his pocket on Saturday (October 1).

Chelsea played their first game since the international break against Palace in the Premier League on Saturday. They went on to win 2-1 at Selhurst Park, which saw Graham Potter take his first win as Blues manager.

Notably, Odsonne Edouard put Patrick Vieira’s side ahead after just seven minutes of the game. However, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang level for the away team 30 minutes later.

The match was not much of a controversy as Palace believed Thiago Silva should have been on the pitch minutes before Aubameyang’s goal. The Brazilian player intentionally handled the ball in the penalty area but was only shown a yellow card.

It looked as though Chelsea and Palace would have to split the spoils as the score was 1-1 in the 90th minute. However, former Eagles loan star Conor Gallagher put the Blues ahead with a superb effort. , thereby bringing victory to his team.

Blues right-back James took to Twitter to express his delight at the win after the game. He posted a picture of him beating Palace attacker Zaha along with a padlock emoji.

While the post doesn’t have any words, the padlock emoji appears to be a sly dig about Zaha. The tweet went unnoticed by the Ivory Coast international and appears to have ruffled his feathers.

Zaha appeared to beat the England international with an Instagram story of his own. The Palace star appears to have accused James of pursuing influence on social media. He wrote:

“Clout is a fucking drug, LOL. But, you guys are all right.”

However, the former Manchester United player deleted the story from his account.


Chelsea face next AC Milan

So far, Chelsea have won 4, drawn 1 and lost 2 of their 7 Premier League matches. Therefore, they are 5th on the table, 8 points behind the top team Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Blues will return to play in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday (October 5). They are expected to host Serie A giants AC Milan at home to Stamford Bridge in the third match of the group stage.

Notably, the London giants have yet to win any Champions League this season. They started the European campaign with a loss to Dinamo Zagreb and were then held to a draw by Red Bull Salzbug.

Potter and Co. will therefore be keen to win their first Champions League of the season against Milan.
