Winnebago e-RV is a good starting point for electric recreational vehicles

While it’s technically labeled a concept, Winnebago’s new e-RV looks like it’s ready to hit the open road on your way to a campground near you. And we mean it literally, as the e-RV can achieve a quote range of 125 miles per charge. Even if that means buyers won’t have to cross the country in this electric recreational vehicle, Winnebago’s research shows a range that will suit the majority of new RV buyers, 54% of whom seem to say they prefer making trips under 200 miles. Furthermore, less than a third of new RV owners have taken trips longer than 300 miles.

Built on top of the famous Ford The Transit, e-RV chassis is assembled with eco-friendly materials where possible, including appliances – including induction cookers, refrigerators, water heaters and air conditioners – that are said to be optimized for energy use. Naturally, there are also customizable sleeping, sitting and dining areas on board.

86 kilowatt hours the battery The pack can be recharged in as little as 45 minutes, although slower charging options, like those that may be available at the campsite, are also doable. There aren’t any other specs, so we don’t know how much power the e-RV delivers or if it can. drag whatever. But since this isn’t a production car yet, we can imagine those details are still being worked out. Even better, Winnebago says that “battery technology continues to evolve and applications continue to advance capabilities and increase the range of range that is predicted to be concept car further development. “In other words, stay tuned.
