Crystal Veasey, 38, shot Glenn Smith Jr in the chest, shoulder and hand at a home on Emerald Drive, police said.
Veasey has a relationship with Smith and is visiting from Ohio. During the argument, police said the couple had broken up and Smith told Veasey to leave his home. Smith said he turned around and saw Veasey pointing a gun at him, and she fired several times.
The two got into a fight before Smith ran out to seek help, police said. Veasey ran into the kitchen for a knife and began chasing him, investigators said.
While the footage was not captured on camera, Ring Doorbell footage shows Smith standing in the middle of the road calling for help.
Smith’s longtime neighbor let KDKA-TV into his home on Thursday to see bullet holes through his wall. One bullet landed in the family laundry room, and the other in the kitchen after grazing the heads of his wife and 1-year-old daughter.
After the shooting, neighbors said Veasey ran to her car and took off. The police found her a few miles away.

The Emerald Drive home isn’t the only crime scene, and police are also looking into another scene on Kerr.
Veasey is in the Allegheny County Jail charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. A judge denied her bail on Thursday, calling her a “flying risk”.
Family members said Smith is recovering at a local hospital. He is in good condition, all things considered.
Smith of Duquesne Light, the company released a statement, saying:
“We can confirm that Glenn, who was injured in this tragic incident, is a longtime employee of the Duquesne Light Company. Our thoughts are with him and his family as he recovers from his injury. ”
