Woman allegedly gave COVID shots to teens in Long Island home without permission

SEA CLIFF, Long Island (WABC) – A Long Island woman was arrested after allegedly giving a teenager a COVID vaccine without permission.

According to detectives, Laura Parker Russo, 54, administered what is believed to be a COVID vaccine to a 17-year-old boy in her home on Sea Cliff.

The teenager then went home and told his mother what had happened. His mother was not authorized or authorized to have her son receive the vaccine and immediately called the police.

Upon investigation, officials discovered that Russo was not a medical professional or authorized to administer the vaccine.

Russo was then placed under house arrest and charged with illegal practice.

Russo will appear in court on Friday, January 21.
