HE WAS A FIRE CHIEF, BUS DRIR,VE AND A HE.RO KEN CAVANAUGH WAS LAID TO REST TODA WE WENT TO WOODWARD AND LEARNED ABOUT HIS LIFE OF SERVICE. >> HE WAS A MAN WHOOV LED HIS COMMUNITY AND SERVED HIS COMMUNITY. THE COMMUNYIT SERVED — SHOWED UP TO HONOR HIS LIFE. COWORKSER AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS PAY TRIBUTE TO A MAN WHO HAD GIVEN HIS COMMUNITY SO MUCH. HE WAS THE FIRE CHIEF IN WOODWARD AND DROVE A SCHOOL BUS ON THE SIDE. LAST MONTH, HE HAD A MEDICAL EMERGENCY WITH KIDS ON THE BUS BUT HE MANAGED TO PULL OFF INTO A BEAN FIELD TO KEEP THE KIDS SAFE. A LONG LINE -A – FRIEND OF KEN VACANAUGH HAD THIS TO SAY. >> HE WAS MORE CONCEEDRN ABOUT THEM THAN HE WAS HIMSELF. THAT IS THE WAY HE LIVED HIS LIFE. HE CARED MORE ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE THAN HIMSELF. >> THIS SERVICE AT THE WOODWARD GRANGEHIR GH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTED THE SAME SELFISHNESS. THEY SPOKE OF HIS DEVOTION TO OTHERS. >> HE WAS INTENSELY DEVOTED TO HIS COMMUNITY HIS ENTIRE LIFE AND WAS IN MANY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. ALWAYS WILLING TO STEP UP OR LEND A HAND. HIS DEDICATION WAS RIVALED ONLY BY HIS DEDATICION TO HIS FAMILY. >> HE DIED OF A HETAR ATTACK, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER HE SAVED THE. STUDENTSN OTHE SCHOOL BUS. — AFTER HE SAVED THE STUDENTS ON THE SCHOOL BUS. >> HE LOVED HIS FAMILY DEARLY. THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER KEN CAVANAUGH.
