World Hemophilia Day is one of our main initiatives, celebrated globally in 140 countries. The more we get involved on this day, the more opportunities there will be for the Hemophilia Community to advance its cause.
The Ministry of Health is fully supporting HFI in its pursuit of comprehensive hemophilia care. It has come a long way but there is still a long way to go. There are certain obstacles such as our low ability to recognize. Missing a lot of shopping. Uneven distribution. Procurement of property, can be solved by having good policy on hemophilia at national and national level.
Notably, the cooperation of the Hemophilia Federation (India) with the Ministry of Health in the past four programs has been very successful because hemophilia can be recognized.
The Federation has been raising the voice of the Hemophilia Community for 39 years since its founding in 1983. Through this initiative, the federation aims to engage the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders. involves raising awareness, finding actionable solutions, and promoting holistic care for patients with hemophilia at the local, regional and national levels.
The “Hemophilia VI Care Initiative” conference organized discussions focusing on New Treatment Options in Hemophilia, Role of WFH- Humanitarian Aid, Access to Optimal Care Highlights, State-Specific Discussions on Procurement and Holistic Care, and Conundrums in Hemophilia Care in India led by thought leaders.
In addition, well-known doctors, hematologists, physiotherapists, and hemophilia caregivers from many medical colleges and hospitals in the country also participated.
The event is supported by leading pharmaceutical companies – Pfizer, Roche, Novo Nordisk India Pvt. Ltd. and Grifols.
