WrestleMania 38: Previews, predictions for the first night of action

The most magical WrestleMania is upon us again! World Wrestling Entertainment has a stacked wrestling pass for this weekend’s WrestleMania pay-per-view/pay-per-view live event. In the past, WrestleMania PPVs (late March or early April) have been a tradition for all wrestling fans. They now have a two-day format, showcasing better matches without having to bundle the entire event into one day. Multiple days of wrestling kept fans excited throughout the weekend. The two-day events also give the entire host town a wrestling vibe.

The biggest names in the wrestling scene have titled this amazing match card, starring numerous celebrities. Without further ado, I give you Saturday predictions for WrestleMania scheduled for April 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Match 1: Becky Lynch (c) vs Bianca Belair – WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match

This matchup will usher in PPV, as it will feature last year’s WrestleMania main event winner, Bianca Belair. She will be going one-on-one against arguably the most famous female wrestler in the WWE, Becky Lynch.

“Big Time Becks” aka Becky Lynch is still undefeated for two more years! Although she took a break from maternity leave, she dominated the list of women upon her return. Both Bianca and Becky are in the best form of their careers, and this match is sure to be an opener. This will get the crowd to stand up and introduce who is the better female wrestler. Although Becky’s championship reign should continue, Bianca Belair is the purest athlete in the WWE. Pay attention to Bianca’s use of weapons and her use of hair.

Prediction: Winner – (and new) Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair

Match 2: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio vs Miz and Logan Paul

Since the first WrestleMania, celebrity engagements have been part of the spectacle. Celebrities bring huge followings and make more casual fans interested in wrestling products. This year, there will be THREE celebrity matches. For the first celebrity match, WWE enlisted the services of Logan Paul, who has a huge social media following. The last time Paul faced Floyd Mayweather at a boxing show.

Paul will team up with Miz, who is no stranger to celebrity matches. Last year, Reggaetón superstar Bad Bunny showed all future celebrities that with adequate ring training, celebrities can steal the show. Last year’s Bad Bunny showed off his stellar skills and impressed with the WWE roster. Now it’s time for Paul to see what he can bring to the ring. He will face off against legendary luchador Rey Mysterio, who is teaming up with his son Dominik Mysterio. This match won’t last long as there will be a lot of Miz’s heel-hit tactics. Notice Paul turns on Miz at the end of the game. I see Mysterios and Logan Paul defeating the evil Miz.

Prediction: Winner – Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio

Match 3: Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin (against Madcap Moss)

This match can make for a sleepless match. Happy Baron Corbin had a great comedy. It all started in the summer when Corbin dropped in form and started losing a lot of games. He is described as “broken”. SummerSlam’s August weekend happened in Las Vegas, where Corbin hit the jackpot winning a lot of money in the casino. Since then, he has changed his personality to someone who is now very happy, and fans love and hate him. He is also on an undefeated streak since he hit the Vegas jackpot.

At this time last year, Drew McIntyre was the WWE champion, considered an unstoppable wrestler. He is currently in the middle of the PPV card and has to work hard to return to the championship. The end of this bout will see the Scottish Warrior, McIntrye, win and shift focus to the gold championship in 2022.

Prediction: Winner – Drew McIntyre

Match 4: The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship

Nice to see tag wrestling introduced again at WrestleMania. Over the years, tag team titles have either been omitted or included in the pre-show lineup. Usos is the most stable team in all of WWE. They are on a strong side with the reigning space champion, their cousin, Roman Reigns. Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs is a fan-favorite team right now due to Boogs and his Freddie Mercury gimmick. What puts challengers first is that they integrate very well in the ring. Nakamura is no stranger to big fights, as he has competed in numerous New Japan and WrestleMania events. Unfortunately, Usos will retain their championship and will continue to feud with Nakamura and Boogs to build a great tag-team storyline.

Prediction: Winner – and Still SmackDown Tag Champion Team, The Usos

Match 5: New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) vs Sheamus and Ridge Holland

This card battle can end in the pre-show after being matched at the last minute. It was going to be a six-man yellow card match, but former WWE champion and New Day member Big E suffered a severe neck injury a few weeks ago. Ridge Holland, a WWE newcomer, injured Big E due to a confusing situation. Luckily, WWE didn’t punish Holland, and he was still featured on PPV. As much as I want Sheamus and the Netherlands to win, the New Days need this win to get back on their winning paths. This can be a quick match.

Winner: New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston)

Game 6 (co-main event): Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs TBA (Vince McMahon pick)

WWE fans were worried for Seth Rollins, as he didn’t have a match at WrestleMania. But the mysterious rival provides intrigue, as Vince McMahon likes to play with the emotions of his fans. The popular choice here is Cody Rhodes. The former AEW competitor is the hottest free agent at the moment. Fans have been chanting Cody’s name in recent weeks. Vince could also come to his prodigal son, Shane McMahon, who is no stranger to the bright lights of WrestleMania. Whoever Vince McMahon chooses, Seth and the mysterious opponent will make for a great match. This could even be a nighttime candidate’s match.

Prediction: Winner – mystery opponent (hopefully Cody Rhodes)

Match 7 (main event) Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey – SmackDown Women’s Championship

The most anticipated match of the weekend for women. Ronda Rousey, the challenger, has dominated the UFC and has performed quite well as a WWE Superstar. She made a surprise comeback this past January, winning the Royal Rumble to become the No. 1 contender. Rousey should have chosen Becky Lynch, as they had yet to face off against each other. Instead, Rousey kept an eye on the Queen, Charlotte Flair. Nature Boy’s daughter, Ric Flair, has proven that she is the most dominant female wrestler on the planet. Charlotte has the height, lineage and charisma to be the face of the female division. This will be their first match since Survivor Series 2018. Keep an eye out for all submission reversals and possible high-risk moves from both opponents. This was actually Ronda’s first one-on-one match at WrestleMania. Pay attention to her patented swingarm, as this fight won’t end with a deadbolt.

Prediction: Winner – (and new) SmackDown Women’s Champion – Ronda Rousey

Last segment of the night: Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin

This wouldn’t be WrestleMania if one of the most legendary figures in all of wrestling hadn’t taken part.

The return of Stone Cold Steve Austin promises to be a hit, as he’s about to crush the ruthless Kevin Owens. This interaction has been going on for months because Owens has talked a lot about the state of Texas. This year, WrestleMania will be held at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Stone Cold is synonymous with the state of Texas. A Texas-sized butt is being sold to Owens. The standing ovation Stone Cold will receive as his music hits the stadium will be amazing. He is definitely the most famous wrestler in WWE history. If this becomes an official match, I hope these two will have a great battle. The Texas crowd will be excited to go home to see Stone Cold return to the ring after 19 years.

Result/Winner: Stone Cold, Kevin Owens. The crowd erupted in joy at the end of WrestleMania Saturday.

The first night of WrestleMania looks very promising and will keep the crowd energized, which will turn to WrestleMania on Sunday.

WrestleMania Saturday and Sunday on the Peacock App on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3. You can also order WrestleMania 38 through your local cable and satellite provider.
