Wynonna Judd reveals Naomi’s mother’s death in Instagram post – The Hollywood Reporter
Wynonna Judd revealed on Sunday the death of her mother and her singing partner, Naomi Judd, who died by suicide on April 30 after a long battle with mental health issues.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, she wrote about her grief over her mother’s death and her feelings of helplessness. First ask “WHAT DO I KNOW?” – imagining that her life coach is asking her that very question – she goes on to answer it in many ways.
“I know, the pain of losing my mother on April 30 to suicide is so great that I often feel like I will never be able to fully accept and surrender to the fact that she left my way. me. ,” she wrote. “This can’t be how The Judds story ends,” adding a heartbreaking emoji.
She also said she was committed to “personal healing” and vowed to “break the cycle of addiction and family dysfunction”, especially for her first grandchild, born on the 13th. April.
“I know, that I feel so helpless – especially right now,” she added. “I know, that sounds corny, ‘Love can build a bridge.’ I find myself humming the song my mother wrote for the fans, for myself here on the ranch at night. ”
She added that she wouldn’t hesitate to ask for help if she needed it.
“I truly KNOW, that I cannot do this grief alone, and you can reach out for help,” she wrote. “I will continue to fight for my beliefs, for myself, for my family, and I WILL continue to perform and sing.”
Wynonna’s sister, Ashley Judd, also revealed about Naomi’s death in an interview with Good Morning America in the first day of this month.
Ashley said: “Our mother couldn’t move on until she was inducted into the Hall of Fame by her peers. “That was the catastrophic extent of what was going on inside her, because the barrier between the relationship they kept with her couldn’t penetrate her heart, and the lie the disease told her. She is so convincing.”
