The family of 14-year-old Tire Sampson has had a busy day. After leaving the boy in peace, they took to social media to call out singer YK Osiris for allegedly not paying for the funeral after he volunteered. Earlier, Tire’s brother wrote on Facebook that: “YkOsiri or any other name has been canceled. Used lil bro for pure clout. Did not pay a cent but told the other world. Even posted a fake screenshot of a GoFundMe donation. Stop pretending that you care about contributing to the community just to increase your sales. Lies like hell”.
His mother posted, alleging that YK even blocked her on Instagram. It didn’t take long for the singer’s sister, Armonie Williams, to defend her brother and deny the boy’s family’s claims. She shared a screenshot of a GoFundMe showing her brother donated $15,000 towards funeral expenses, but Tire’s brother insisted that the screenshot was edited.
YK finally broke his silence and wrote on his Instagram story his message, “The devil is on the move.” Additionally, an alleged text chat with Tire’s mother, Nekia Dodd, also appeared. In the message, Nekia wrote, “As of now, no fees have been paid nor any donations! So do me a favor and use the same platform you used when “you were looking for me” and let everyone know you did nothing. And please don’t be at my son’s funeral! You are blessed! ”
YK was adamant about his deletion and released a screen recording showing another conversation with Nekia and his name on the fundraising list for the GoFundMe account. According to the GoFundMe website, some donations may not appear in the fundraiser due to processing time.
The singer made one last post to clear the air to let Tire’s family know there’s no problem with him. We will continue to keep Tire’s family in our thoughts at this time!
