Putting on just enough makeup would make me feel uncomfortable forever so there was only one way to do this. Be real! As someone with fair, thin, crepe-like skin (haha, I like that myself sometimes), I focus on brightening, breathable formulas to improve rather than conceal. mine, so Jones Street Collection right on my street.

Shimmer Oil was first on my list of things to try from the collection and it did not disappoint. For transparency reasons, I wear nothing on my skin but Shimmer Face Oil in the Pink Opal and Lip and Cheek Stick shades in Rosy Brown in these photos – no foundation, concealer or even cream needed. Moist as I’d really put its ‘no makeup, makeup’ powers to the test and wear it how I would IRL. Honestly, it’s like bare face but better. The face is bare but has a side of health and light good karma. I went in with three pumps of Shimmer Oil but two was more than enough, as I’m running moderately here but I like that glass skin finish, so IMO the more mist the better. It also looks a lot thinner than it feels on the skin (in a good way), I thought it felt quite dry on the back of my hand when I tested it but when I hit it on my face, it absorbed beautifully. and feels weightless on the skin. It’s perfect for those days when you don’t want to wear makeup but want something to accentuate your skin and give you that ‘Clean Girl’ aesthetic. After that, I applied a few dots of Lip and Cheek to my cheeks and all over my lips. The creamy formula is great if you’re on the lookout for blush as it’s super easy to build on and natural, with just enough pigment to create a ‘fresh air’ glow. Think she just pinched your cheek. So far, I’m impressed with the collection and can’t wait to see what else Bobbi will add to the ever-growing collection. Consider me a Jones Street stan from here on out!

I tried Jones Street Shimmer Face Oil in Cool Rose shade. As my complexion was a bit more rosy I was worried that this would make this happen more and I generally prefer bronze products but I was looking forward to giving it a try. I love that this product has so many different uses and it’s up to you how you want to apply it, it’s a trend that you’re likely to see more of these days, rather than buying 10 different things for different areas, like using your lipstick as blush. I decided I wanted to apply this under my foundation to give me a “bright from within” look!

I was a bit apprehensive about the fact this is called an oil and the texture of the product is quite liquid, however when I applied it to my face it was much more creamy than oily. I admit that using the product alone all over my face gave me a bit of a man’s vibe, but I trusted the process and as soon as I applied some foundation on it. above, I shined in the best possible way! After applying my whole face, I dab a little more on my cheeks to make them pop a bit and I’m really pleased with the results! I think this product would be great to use sparingly after showering in the summer months (especially during the holidays) and I also think it will look great on your shoulders and collarbone for event.

I’m a huge Bobbi Brown fan, who else?! She is a legend. Since selling her business, the entire industry has been waiting for her next move and Jones Street definitely made waves (if TikTok is anything to go on).

I tried the pale nude lipstick and cheek stick because I’ve always been drawn to a quick multi-use product. Like the majority of products in this range, it is designed to be very light but buildable and leaves a lovely natural color. I definitely need to try harder to give a full review but I think if her history is anything to go with the ethos of the brand, Jones Street will be a great success.

I haven’t tried a lot of Bobbi Brown makeup in my time but I’ve seen a lot of hype around Jones Street on TikTok (especially that platform video) that I was really excited to show. The ‘clean’ beauty and makeup look is having a real moment right now (another TikTok hole I ended up with), and with the JR branding as ‘cool, clean, makeup’, feels like they’re really making money with tapping into that trend.

The first product I tried was The Shimmer Face Oil in the shadow Bronze described as “fantasy light in a bottle” – yes, please! Even though it looked super pigmented when it came out, it blends into my skin really easily and gives the perfect summer glow. For me, this product would be perfect for those summer holidays, when you’re about to have dinner in the evening and you want something super light and wearable to make your skin look really radiant. brilliant. I love these makeup and skincare fusions, and Shimmer Face Oil is blended with 9 nourishing oils that boost my skin’s moisture levels without feeling heavy.

Next, I tried the Hippie Stick, an “all-purpose balm that melts on face, body, hair.” I very irresponsibly got sunburned the day before after sitting on the beach for a few hours, and despite how annoying this was, it actually created the perfect opportunity to use the product. this product! It’s super-large in circumference so it’s really ideal for getting through the worst areas of my feet, and really leaves my skin feeling buttery-smooth. This is the perfect product to put in your bag for a trip as I feel there are so many uses for it and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and hydrated afterwards. A necessity during the summer months after days in the sun when skin feels tight!

Jones Street really give off cool energy! Also, I’m obsessed with the packaging and the brand’s aesthetic in general. Pure beauty seems to be having a real moment and tbh I’m here for it.

I tried The Shimmer Face Oil in the shadow Bronze, I used the liquid highlighter back in college under my foundation, I used a Nars and it really sets the foundation. In my opinion, it just gives the foundation a thinner look with a soft glow. I’ve tried this Shimmer Face Oil under my usual daily makeup and really love the look, it definitely adds a radiant glow to my face, looking especially flawless in the sun. However, being a super oily girl, my makeup gets washed off my face at the end of the day. This is ‘my problem’ not a product problem, but just a problem for other oily skin people thinking of trying this out! I think in the future I’ll use it on makeup-free days to highlight and add a bit of dimension to my face.

I also highly recommend the Cool Gloss in Gold Shimmer and I really love this a lot. It feels super moisturizing and not sticky at all. The golden shimmer gives your lips a lovely sparkle, but not so much that you’re giving a 6th disco grade (although I do feel those vibes a bit). The shimmer seems to almost absorb into my lips in the end, leaving them looking plump and soft. Would recommend!
