AEW Tag Team Championship: Jurassic Express vs. Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland vs. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs

Fels: Yet another match felt as if it had been stripped of its hat, but no one cared after three minutes because this match was going to be hectic. The single triple threat that Jungle Boy, Strickland, and Starks face in week two of Dynamite are the nails, and now are we going to add some serious BEEF to it with Lee, Hobbs, and Luchasaurus? Fuck and yes. There will be a lot of points in this part, and Lee will probably throw the Jungle Boy over Luxor.
This leans in favor of the Swerve and Lee embraces it, as they have seen no shortage of galactic stars since they appeared. The two should probably appear in a single title image, but there’s plenty of time for that, and the way Swerve really pushes Lee’s character is better preparation for the run of his final single. Lee. A few months as a card champion won’t hurt anyone.
Blum: For a match without a commensurate feud behind it, it’s odd but still pleasing how all three of these teams compare on paper. Half of each team were lighter cruisers, with outstanding talent. Their partners each weigh over 270 pounds and are phenomenal athletes for their size. Lee and Strickland are just a team that means too much. Who would look at those people and think, “I have nothing for you?” Anyway, Jurassic Express as champions did a great job, but is their reign getting a little tired? Lee and Strickland would be phenomenal choices to lead the division right now. I’ll pick that one, but I can’t see any of the three winning.
