Yung Joc thinks the ‘bullying’ behavior will lead to the demise of the female rap scene

In an interview with VladTVYung Joc talked about the popping world of female rappers and he thinks some deep-rooted issues can cause problems among the women in the game.

Joc says the movie is a ticking time bomb: “Wait another 180 days”

The “It’s Goin’ Down” rapper begins by using a metaphor to explain why there always seems to be some kind of beef emerging among female rap stars.

“Think of the colonies. Let’s talk about bees and ants. The Colony will do anything and everything for the Queen… Women are honored in a different way. They are given more importance to certain things.

He then alleged that – because they were “more valued” – the women in rap “didn’t want to share the attention.” However, he says he understands the phenomenon, considering the nature of the game.

“Let’s be honest: women don’t want to share, man. And sometimes they just don’t want to share the limelight. Call it what it is, and I understand. After all, it’s hard for women to find their place.”

Joc made the outright bet that the female rap scene wouldn’t stand out “by this time next year”.

“Even now, you’ve got all these female rappers. Give it another 180 days. Let’s take this time next year and see if we have more female rappers making such a splash. I bet you won’t, because a lot of them will be eliminated.

He explicitly mentions the relationship between Nicki Minaj & Lotto

Yung Joc also talked about the recent drama that emerged between Nicki Minaj and Latto. As we previously reported, the issue was related to GRAMMY, as Nicki felt sad that she was nominated for the pop category while Lotto was recognized as a rap artist.

The matter quickly became a personal one, and the artists mercilessly went back and forth on Twitter.

Regarding the situation, Joc said that it shows the dynamism of women in rap.

“Women are very confrontational. More than men…Women don’t care. Women will say what’s on their mind. Women are very forthcoming. They are very wise. Like this whole thing with Latto and Nicki.

He went on to explain that, even though Nicki was “a bit bully,” Latto still wouldn’t give in.

“Nicki is the bully type…I think Nicki has been a bit of a bully lately. And it’s not an objection, I’m being honest. She said what was on her mind, and Latto didn’t back down in this situation.

Moving on to a more general message, Joc points out how the age of social media can make matters worse. In fact, he says it’s easy to get caught up in and get lost in the movie.

“We argued too much. Social media sometimes allows us to talk too much…What are we arguing about?”

Do you think Yung Joc’s thoughts on the future of female poppin’ rappers are correct? Also, do you agree with his view that Nicki Minaj “types bullies” other women in the rap game?
