Zachary Levi made a splash on Tuesday, after a report went viral that Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson blocked characters from The Rock from appearing in the post-credits scene in Levi’s Shazam! Wrath of the Gods.
It has been known that members of Black Adam’s Justice Society of America was originally slated to appear in Wrath of the Godswith filmmaker David F. Sandberg narrated Hollywood Reporter that the scene “broken three days before we were due to shoot,” forcing him to find a replacement character at the last minute. On Tuesday, the bundle reported that Johnson blocked characters from appearing in Wrath of the Godsand that the actor and producer also cast a potential cameo of Levi in Black Adam.
In an Instagram story on Tuesday, Levi shared a post mentioning The Wrap’his report, and he added his own comment: “The truth will set you free.”
Black Adam is a passionate project of Johnson, who lobbied for classic villain Shazam to receive his own spin-off, rather than being cast as the villain in 2019. Shazam!. The star and producer is also credited with bringing Henry Cavill back as Superman in a cameo for Adam.
