Zara’s new spring 2023 collection is a fashion fairy tale
There’s rarely a Tuesday or Thursday that I don’t check zara’s app and feel a little excited as I scroll through the day new arrivals. That said, I only allow myself to bask in the true stunner caused by Zara on two occasions each year: when the Fall/Winter Studio collection is revealed and six months after the collection. Its spring/summer companion launches. And luckily, today is one of those days.
This morning, Zara launched the S/S 23 collection and its next fairy tale campaign, shot by acclaimed fashion photographer Steven Meisel and styled by Interview The magazine’s creative director, Karl Templer. The collection, according to a press release, is based on the premise that rules – at least when it comes to fashion – are meant to be broken and there is beauty in contradiction. To make this idea a reality, the design team drew inspiration from several other contrasting aesthetic styles from different fashion localities. “It’s a blend of Parisian sensuality, a bit of London rebelliousness, a bit of Scandinavian rusticity, mixed with the simplicity of dressing for a summer in New York,” the statement explains. .
