Zelda: Breath Of The Wild ‘Second Wind’ Expansion Mod Adds Brand New Boss Battle

A mod that keeps getting better is The Legend of Zelda: Second Wind – Breath of Wild Expansion. In case you haven’t heard, it’s a ‘free large scale DLC’ mod that adds new quests, areas, weapons, and bosses, while also fixing up existing content.

We have reviewed Brand new Hinox King boss battle last weekand now the modder Breath of the Wild Waikuteru is back with a video of the new Octo Boss – a large Octarock found in the refurbished “Lake Strock” area in the game’s underworld.

It’s also part of the 12 bosses tied to the ‘Labor of the Hero’ quest, where you’ll be rewarded with an unbreakable Hylian Shield at the end of the quest. Here is the summary of the quest from project page:

“This quest is unlocked when Link leaves Hyrule Castle after obtaining the Hylian Shield. After being tasked by Monk Ruya Nala, Link is tasked with traveling near Champion’s Gate, on the eastern side of the Gerudo Desert in Gerudo Plateau area When Link reaches the location marked on the map, a temple emerges from the ground, this is Ruya Nala Temple.

“When Link entered the temple and reached the main room, the words “The Ancient Trials” appeared, signaling Link the nature of this temple. After talking to Monk Ruya Nala, Link was given the goal of defeating 12 of the enemies. Bosses all over Hyrule. Hints because the locations of these bosses are located in statues throughout the main room.”
