Zelda: Breath of Wild Sales Soaring in the UK
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild now more than five years old. It’s almost certainly one of the best games on the Switch, with people still uncovering secrets and challenging themselves against absurdly fast running challenges. It’s a huge, open apocalyptic playground for you to do whatever you love!
We were hoping we’d have a brand new Breath of the Wild game to explore this year, but you’ll probably remember, next part to be delayed to spring 2023 just a few weeks ago. But in the UK, at least, it looks like a lot of people are happily waiting.
Gamesindustry.bizChris Dring revealed that canned retail sales for Breath of the Wild have increased by 51% in the UK. For a five-year-old Nintendo first-party game that can be had at full price, that’s ridiculous.
Maybe… maybe do not cancel that sequel, Nintendo?
Breath of the wild is the fourth best-selling Switch game with over 25 million copies sold. So the delay, while sad for fans, obviously won’t affect Nintendo’s bottom line too much. Except market share declines, We think. Breath of the Wild 2 is going to explode, right?
Are you still playing Breath of the Wild? Or did you pick it up for the first time recently? Why not tell us.
