Hudson’s Bay Co. (HBC) announced Friday that the Canadian retail chain will serve “several fan-favorite dishes from the much-loved Zellers Family Restaurant.”
“Zellers is mobilizing a fleet of food trucks to welcome customers at the first locations opening this spring,” HBC said in a press release. “And while the Zellers tweaked the engines and inflated the tires, the Canadians were tasked with crafting the menu.”
The iconic Canadian retailer says it’s nearly impossible to open a sit-down eatery inside The Bay locations, so fans will have to settle for food carts.
Last week, Zellers announced the locations of its first 25 “experience” stores. Stores will be opening at locations in Hudson Bay across Canada.
HBC said Friday Zellers fans can go to Instagram and vote for 10 items on the menu, including five that were chosen last.
“Following initial stops at store locations – and if customers pick it up again – Zellers Diner on Wheels is set to launch across Canada,” HBC said.
The retailer said location and date details will be announced later.
