Still can’t believe it Andre Braugher has passed away. But there’s no better testament to his versatility than this show, which admittedly doesn’t have the most compelling premise: How do three men come to terms with the ambiguous humiliations and rewards of middle age? The problem is, when the script and cast are this good, and when the leads are so Scott Bakula, Ray Romano, and Braugher, the answer to that question is often fascinating and rewardingly complex. Watching both seasons may make you miss Braugher more, but it’s worth it.
