Meghan Markle was “incredibly proud” of Prince Harry’s keynote speech, even though she was at home
In spite of Prince HarryHis recent trip to New York City was brief, his schedule packed with events focused on his charity work, the Parents Network, the new online support group he and his wife founded . Meghan MarkleArchewell Foundation. Harry’s most memorable experience in Manhattan, however, may have been his chance to fully get into the spirit of the spooky season. On September 20, Jimmy Fallon opened a 10-room haunted maze at 30 Rockefeller Center called Tonightmares, and on Thursday, Tonight’s program aired a short clip of Fallon taking Harry through the attraction, accompanied by a few swear words.
Another highlight was a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting, where Harry spoke about the work he and Meghan have done with parents who have lost children to online harm. Meghan was not in the audience on Tuesday, having stayed in California with the couple’s two children, Archie And Lilibet. A source close to the duchess said she watched his speech at home and that she was “incredibly proud” of her husband. The source added that Harry was also excited to join Fallon at Tonightmares.
Before entering Tonightmares, Fallon asked the prince if he got scared easily. “Not normal,” the prince replied, “but today might be different.”
With cameras strapped to their chests to record their reactions, the couple took turns going through the haunted rooms, and Harry had a few moments of pure panic. Harry screamed when a person wearing a panda suit approached him, but when Fallon asked him if he was afraid of pandas, he said, “No, I’m not!” The prince then mistook a man in a suit for Michael Buble, singer-songwriter as coach voice, and jumped when someone wearing a werewolf costume approached.
But based on the reactions of the Tonightmares staff, it’s clear who is really the VIP. After Harry walked through one of the last rooms, two actors in wigs and makeup gasped after realizing exactly who they had just scared.
