Bakeru is currently not available on the Switch eShop in Europe

Switch users across Europe have taken notice of the recently released game BAKERU has disappeared from Nintendo’s eShop.

In case you’re wondering what’s going on, publisher Spike Chunsoft actually shared a message about this on social media – mentioning a “perceived issue” making the game unplayable. and are “urgently addressing this issue”.

Bakeru had a local release on Switch earlier this month but was originally released in Japan last year. There’s even a demo you can check out. Here’s a bit from our review that we recently republished for the Western version.

“Bakeru is a sweet, fun, and satisfying linear 3D platformer that feels like a great throwback to a genre that doesn’t get much representation these days. It’s Actually easy (though the Western version ramps up the difficulty a bit) and has some performance issues, but varied gameplay, fluid combat, tons of collectibles, and a gorgeous art style combine come together to create an adventure you won’t want to miss ON.”
