DDG clarifies viral comments about 9am to 5pm jobs

Oh! roommate, DDG caused some controversy on innanet after expressing his views on handling work from 9am to 5pm. Immediately after going viral, he walked into The Shade Room to clear the air.

DDG Talks About Career Goals and Aspirations

DDG has been causing a stir on social media about the latest episode of the ‘No Ordinary’ podcast. In the viral clip of The show lasted an hour and a halfThe ‘I’m Geekin’ rapper shared his thoughts on how people should approach their 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. work.

“9 to 5 returns should only be used to fund yourself [business]. I don’t think anyone can get a job and say: ‘I will be the best employee for the next 10 years’. No one should think like that,” the 26-year-old said.

DDG said people shouldn’t bother trying to climb the corporate ladder at the 9-to-5 level because one slip-up will result in termination. However, he adds that owning a business keeps you accountable, allowing you to hire and fire employees at will.

“I always tell people you can’t be stuck in a 9 to 5. There’s nothing wrong with a 9 to 5, but it’s like what you do with a 9 to 5. You shouldn’t work 9 to 5 to take care of your work. [life] for the rest of my life,” the musician continued.

DDG clarified his comments

After TSR posted DDG’s clip, he jumped into the comments section to clarify his statement. The ‘Moonwalk in Calabasas’ artist explains that he used to work a regular job and all he wanted to do was motivate people who wanted to be their own boss one day.

“I am a former employee of TJ Maxx & Kroger and I used the check to invest in myself. That’s just my opinion based on experience. There’s nothing wrong with working 9am to 5pm if that’s what you want to do. This is the motivation for people who want to become bosses. watch “No Ordinary” Podcast on YouTube 🫡,”DDG wrote.
