Diddy’s mother speaks out about his arrest and lawsuit


Diddymother of, Janice Combhas released his first statement about his legal troubles. Janice is breaking her silence amid her son’s mounting lawsuits, which started with ex-girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura suing him in November 2023. Meanwhile, Sean Combs is still behind bars in Brooklyn, New York City, for sex trafficking, fraud, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Janice Combs Talks About Diddy Dealing With Cassie

Janice gave her statement to Local news 10 on Sunday (October 6) through Attorney Natlie Figgers. She shared strong words about how the public seemingly crucified the producer ahead of his trial.

“I come to you today as another person devastated and deeply saddened by the allegations against my son, Sean Combs. It hurts to see my son judged not for the truth but for a story created from lies. Having to witness what seemed like the public execution of my son before he had a chance to prove his innocence was a pain beyond words. Like every human being, my son deserves his day in court, to share his perspective and prove his innocence.

As her statement continued, Janice Combs said Sean was not perfect. The mother admitted that Diddy lied about domestic violence, specifically his 2016 assault on Cassie in a hotel hallway. Earlier this year, CNN released never-before-seen footage of the producer kicking, smashing and throwing glass vases at his former singer.

“Sometimes, truth and lies are so inextricably linked that admitting one part of the story becomes scary, especially when the truth is outside the norm or too complicated to be believed. ,” Janice said. Additionally, she believes that he made a settlement with Cassie for those reasons and that the settlement is what caused the domino effect of today’s events.

Mom Says Her Famous Son Is Not a Monster

As previously reported, Diddy has been detained since September 16. Two Manhattan judges have has been refused he was released on bail. On Monday (September 29), Diddy’s legal team reportedly filed a notice of appeal with the Second District Court of Appeals in the Southern District of New York, according to USA TODAY. This will be the third time he has sought to be placed under house arrest until his trial. Sean has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In her statement, Janice Combs also asserted that no one is immune to “fear or mistakes.” She again said that Diddy’s failure to disclose the domestic violence incident does not automatically mean he is guilty of the charges in the indictment or the ongoing lawsuits.

“Watching the world laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I will never forget. It was painful to watch the world turn its back on my son so quickly and easily because of lies and misconceptions without ever listening to his side or giving him a chance to express himself. Express your opinion.”

Additionally, Diddy’s mother said that the quick settlement of Cassie’s lawsuit caught the attention of those looking for a “payday.” “This injustice is unbearable for our family,” she wrote.

“My son is not the monster people imagine him to be, and he deserves the opportunity to express his views. I can only pray that I live to see him tell the truth and be exonerated,” Mama Combs wrote.
