Details on the financial terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. However, the deal shows that Apple wants to attract a larger audience by integrating its streaming service with Amazon’s Prime Video services. Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, expressed this view one way declare: “We want to make Apple TV+ and its library of award-winning series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to as many viewers as possible. We’re excited that Prime Video will now offer Apple TV+, giving viewers countless viewing options,” 9to5Mac reported.

Amazon has emphasized that this partnership will streamline the sign-up process, providing “one payment relationship, in one convenient app.” While Apple offers similar functionality through the Apple TV app’s Channels feature, Prime Video was not previously included.

Despite this partnership, it does not significantly expand Apple TV+’s offerings. The service already has widespread access wherever Prime Video operates. However, it could simplify the sign-up process for users who aren’t used to accessing Apple TV+ directly through Apple.

Apple TV+ does not include Apple devices

Many potential subscribers mistakenly believe that owning an Apple TV hardware device is necessary to access Apple TV+. In fact, users can watch Apple TV+ on a variety of smart TVs, streaming devices, gaming consoles, and through web browsers.

Additionally, Prime Video subscription costs range from $8.99 to $17.98 per month, depending on the plan chosen. This partnership marks an important step in making Apple TV+ more accessible to a wider audience.
