New Speedrun Levels and Special Bots Coming Tomorrow – PlayStation.Blog
Hello everyone, I’m happy to update you with some new information Astro Bot Content will arrive this month.
First, on behalf of Team Asobi, I would like to say a big thank you to all the Astro Bot players. We couldn’t be happier to see the reaction from players, both young and old. That warmed the hearts of all the little Bots at Team Asobi HQ.
We’ve read so many great reviews and received so many positive comments, it’s been great. However, if there’s one response that rings loud and clear, it’s that you want more. So instead of putting our little robot feet up, we’ve been busy working and we’ve got some new surprises in store for you.
As announced in the recent State of Play trailer, starting October 17, we’ll release our first all-new speedrun level, Build Speed. These levels will test your platforming skills and, along with online leaderboards, will give you the chance to compete with all your PlayStation friends.
In Building Speed, with the help of Barkster, the augmented bulldog, you’ll zoom through a sky-high city. Dodge cranes, smash crates and even speed past flying car washes on the way to rescue your trapped crew.
Following that, we’ll release a brand new speedrun level every week, so once you’ve perfected every jump, hover and spin in a level, a new challenge will be waiting for you .
The release schedule is as follows:
- October 17: Construction speed
- October 24: Let it slide
- October 31: Spring Run
- November 7: Helium Plateau
- November 14: Heat increases
Note: All Astro Bot* updates from October 17 to November 14 will be available every Thursday at 6:00am PT, 2:00pm BST and 10:00pm JST.
Furthermore, each of these new levels contains two brand new special Bots for you to rescue. That’s 10 new favorites to add to your team. We took a look at Eve from Stellar Blade and Helldivers. However, let’s find out for yourself who is next. So let’s get busy rescuing.
Finally, the best part is that it’s all at no extra cost.
