Video: Graphic comparison of Sonic X Shadow Generations (Switch, Xbox 360, PS5)

YouTube channel ‘ElAnalistaDeBits’ shared a video comparing the version Nintendo released alongside the original Xbox 360 version and the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

In terms of resolution and frame rate, the Switch release is apparently running at an average 1080p at 30FPS. The initial release is 720p on Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 5 release runs at a smooth 60FPS at 2160p.

The same analysis also considers draw distance, ambient occlusion, shadows, and game textures. Overall, the Switch version looks pretty good and, as you’d expect, seems like a step up from the original.

As we mentioned, Nintendo Life is still waiting on a Sonic X Shadow Generations review code, and at this rate, we won’t get it until launch day. October 25, 2024. This is not an isolated case, with our sibling site Pure Xbox also have to wait until release for Xbox review code.
