Bank of America Bonus Day (November 7): Earn more points, miles and cash back on purchases


Bank of America offers a large card portfolio. Some carry the Bank of America brand under their name, e.g Bank of America® Custom Cash Rewards Credit Card and Bank of America® Premium Rewards® Credit Card. Others, such as Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® Credit Cardis a co-branded card offered by Bank of America. Regardless of your Bank of America card (or cards), you should know that More Rewards Days is returning for a third year.

More bonus days are when Bank of America credit card — including those who don’t normally earn rewards — will earn additional rewards from midnight to 11:59 p.m. EST on November 7. Specifically, you’ll earn the following when you make purchases with card on Other Rewards Days:

  • Cash back credit card: Earn 2% extra cash back on your first $2,500 purchase.
  • Rewards credit cards earn points or miles: Earn 2 extra points or miles per dollar spent on the first $2,500 in purchases.
  • Credit cards do not reward: Earn 2% cash back in statement credits on your first $2,500 purchase.

You do not need to register to enjoy these bonus earnings, in addition to the rewards you already earn on purchases. The $2,500 purchase limit for the Other Rewards Day bonus is “per single account or per unique small business,” according to press release.

For example, let’s say you have one Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card. In that case, you typically earn 3 miles per dollar spent on qualifying Alaska Airlines purchases; 2 miles per dollar spent on gas, electric vehicle charging stations, cable, streaming services and qualifying local transit purchases; and 1 mile per dollar spent on all other purchases.

However, on purchases of up to $2,500 on Bonus Day (November 7), you’ll earn 5 miles per dollar spent on qualifying Alaska Airlines purchases; 4 miles per dollar spent on qualifying gas, EV charging stations, cable, streaming services and local transit purchases; and 3 miles per dollar spent on all other purchases.

If you are a part of Bank of America Preferred Rewards ProgramYou’ll earn Preferred Rewards rewards on your purchase as usual. However, you will not earn Preferred Rewards rewards on top of the bonus amount through this promotion.

According to Bank of America Other Bonus Day SitesAll open and active Bank of America consumer and small business cards should be eligible, but you will need to keep your account open and active until additional rewards arrive. your account.
