Loomis apologizes after awkward national anthem performance
Last weekend, weaving machine became a topic of discussion on social media after a video of her clumsily performing the National Anthem went viral. Organizers of the presidential debate on Free and Fair Elections have chosen singers for the opening performance of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’.
However, after a few seconds of performing, Loomis fumbled his words, cursed on live television, and continued to explain himself while trying to make up for it. Now, she’s apologizing for ruining her long-desired chance.

As mentioned, the presidential debate for independent candidates was broadcast live on Thursday (October 24). When Loomis took the mic, she successfully sang the first few lines of the national anthem. However, as she got closer to the higher notes, she seemed to become nervous and her voice cracked. Trying to recover, she revealed her inner thoughts without a filter!
“I ruined it. I ruined it. Can I come back, please come back?” she asked, looking around for the product. After someone off-camera reminded her that the performance was live, she tried to revive the performance. After another lyric, she stops and explains, “I was too worried.”

When social media users criticized her, including comparing her slide to Fergie at the 2018 NBA All-Star game, she took to Instagram Stories to defend herself. According to TODAYshe shared throwback clips from other performances, and added the line “I swear I wasn’t that bad” in at least one post.
The singer apologized to debate watchers for missing the national anthem
On October 26, the singer shared a video and wrote an apology for the couple’s altercation via Instagram. In her caption, she apologized to the organization, their production team, and viewers. Additionally, she explained why she dropped the ball.
“I was a little late and didn’t have a clear cue, which confused me when we went live! I know it wasn’t my best and I’m really sorry if it didn’t work out. I take full responsibility for my part and ask that you not use this incident to reflect on the artist I am and am trying to become,” Loomis said.
She added that she feels “grateful for the opportunity and all the love and support” she has received during this “lesson.” Loomis also expressed excitement about the recovery process. She shared similar sentiments in her apology video as in her caption. The singer said she wanted to perform the national anthem since she was a child but was afraid of messing it up and finally did it.
