Every new game in the Atari 50’s final DLC expansion revealed

Atari and Digital Eclipse have revealed the full list of upcoming games Atari 50: Celebration DLC expansion, dubbed ‘The first console war’.

Launched on November 8, 2024The expansion will contain an additional timeline filled with interviews and documents, this time focusing on the rivalry between Atari’s VCS and Mattel’s Intellivision.

Interviews include the likes of Jane Terjung, David Crane, Garry Kitchen, Dennis Debro, Leonard Herman and Mike Mika. But of course, that’s not all. An additional 19 playable games will be added to the list, bringing the Atari 50’s full list of Atari titles to a whopping 148.

Here’s a list of which games are included in the new DLC:

  • Air Raiders – 2600 M Network
  • Anteater – 2600 M network (unreleased, based on IP Stern)
  • Armor Ambush – 2600 M Network
  • Astroblast – 2600 M network
  • Frog & Flies – Network 2600 M
  • International Football – 2600 M Network
  • Dark Cave – Network 2600 M
  • Star Strike – 2600 M network
  • Super challenging baseball – 2600 M network
  • Super Challenging Soccer – 2600 M Network
  • Fencing – 2600 M Network (rare, unreleased)
  • Sea Battle – 2600 M Network (rare, unreleased)
  • Tower of Mystery (unreleased prototype, recently rescued)
  • Pinball videos – 2600
  • Basketball – 2600
  • Hardball – Atari 8-bit (XE)
  • The Last Legacy (prototype) – 5200
  • Xari Arena – Atari 8-bit
  • Desert Falcon – 7800

As you can see, the lineup once again leans heavily towards the Atari 2600. We’re a little disappointed that there’s no love for the Atari Lynx or Jaguar, but hey, maybe Atari will roll out more releases more classic consoles again in the future.

We’re keen to check out this new expansion, however, if only because of the awesome timeline feature that Digital Eclipse has effectively mastered at this point. If you also want the base game and DLC in one package, Atari is launching a physical version called Atari 50: Celebration – Extended Edition on the same day.
