GloRilla clarified her position with JT after the recent beef

The online community can agree that this has been a Glo year—from exciting music to touring and many viral moments. However, one of those moments happened when GloRilla And J.T exchanged shady words on social media in April.

Glo before refused to speak about beef during a red carpet interview at the CMT Awards. However, in a recent interview for Apple Music, she made their position clear.

Is GloRilla & JT good?

When asked if she was surprised about beef with other female rappers, GloRilla said she didn’t enter the industry with the intention of eating beef. However, she added that she and JT are “really cool.” She was also asked if she thought fans fueled the controversy. Glo agreed, saying their fanbase had blown the mess out of proportion.

“It’s the fans. It’s like a super unnecessary thing, it’s really fan-driven. And I see that with other artists, the fans always try. But I don’t really let fans get to me like that because I know they want to do it.”

GloRilla says that when she sees fans egging on any steak, she does her best to “intentionally steer in the other direction.” At this time, JT has not yet responded to GloRilla’s comments.

This is what happened between female rappers?

For context, back in April, JT went viral on X (formerly Twitter) after sharing a message about women “secretly exposing themselves”. A few days after JT’s viral moment, GloRilla released his project ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang’. On the track ‘Aite’, The Memphis rapper said, “JT and I aren’t best friends, but we’re not best friends.”

Things got worse when social networks started paying attention to the afternoon tea between female rappers. In the comments section of a TSR Instagram post, a roommate implied that Glo slapped JT at an awards show. Old city girl quickly quashed the rumorssaid she had never been slapped. JT added that GloRilla fed the false narrative with her song about “slapping rap b*****s.”

The Memphis rapper enthusiastically applauded in response but later deleted the tweet. “Sh* shut up and fix your ugla** wig. I said it’s not beef h*you’re the one with a secret grudge,” GloRilla wrote again. From there, the women began exchanging shady insults about each other’s looks and rap careers. A few days later, Glo refused to continue stoking the fire at the CMT Awards.
