Stardew Valley Version 1.6 is finally out on Switch
Stardew ValleyThe long-awaited 1.6 update has arrived on Switch, bringing with it a host of brand new features. Developer ConcernedApe shared the news on Twitter (now called X) earlier today.
First hitting PC in March, this is the longest fans have had to wait for a major update to move from PC to console. But it seems the wait was worth it.
The new update is actually Version 1.6.9, which also adds a bunch of small features and quality of life improvements. Check the patch notes for detailed information on the above fixes Stardew Valley changelogBut we will go over the important stuff here.
First, 1.6 brings many new festivals. The first is a big event – a three-day event in the desert in the spring. You can only access this after repairing the bus, but it will be worth it. We’re glad that at least there’s stuff going on in the desert! There are also two small fishing festivals and an environmental event in the summer.
There is also now a completely new farm layout – Meadowlands Farm. According to Patch notes from earlier this year“It has tough green grass that animals love” and you get a coop with two chickens right outside the gate. It looks like it’s a farm that focuses on animals and produce.
A new “mastering” system has been added. This is tied to the Cave of Mastery, which you can only access after maxing out all your skills. There’s also a bookseller who will visit your town twice a season, offering various small updates and tweaks to Ginger Island — the prologue to version 1.5 — including a new map fit. And there are new items, crafting recipes, and lots of new dialogue.
Another adorable new feature lets you raise multiple pets — if you max out your heart with the first one. Not only that, you can also put a hat on your dog or cat And You can also get pet turtles. And to add personality and friendliness to your farmhouse, there are brand new decorating and renovation options for your home.
Version 1.6.9 also adds the new Lost Item Shop, allowing you to buy back lost items that you can never get back. Legendary fish can be released into ponds and spawn eggs. One of these best The feature is that items dropped into water will now float for a short period of time, meaning they will not disappear.
We haven’t listed everything here, because honestly, it’s absolutely huge — and completely free, like all the other Stardew updates. So go check it out Patch 1.6 note And female 1.6.9 notes if you want to know absolutely everything included in this update.
