Plies sues GloRilla & Megan Thee Stallion over song ‘Wanna Be’


class is looking for his credit and coins and he’s going through the legal system trying to get it. On Wednesday (November 6), the male rapper filed a lawsuit Megan Thee horse And GloRilla for their song ‘Wanna Be’. Now, producer Max Julian, is better known by the name LilJuMadeDaBeatis highlighting the song’s credits. Max is a longtime collaborator of Megan’s but is not listed in the credits on this song.

According to TMZPlies accused Glo and Meg of stealing the countdown beat from his 2008 song, ‘Me & My Goons.’ The lawsuit also names Megan’s Hot Girl Productions and record labels Universal Music Group, Collective Music Group and Interscope as defendants.

Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla aren’t the only ones sued by Plies. Soulja boy was also accused for his song ‘Pretty Boy Swag’. Like Meg and Glo, Plies’ papers accuse Soulja of copying the beat of his 2010 national anthem.

He is claiming damages for copyright infringement. Although TMZ reported that Plies’ eventual victory could net him “a lot of shiny coin,” the outlet did not specify an amount.

GloRilla shares messages after the lawsuit, Megan’s producer speaks out

About an hour after TMZ first reported Plies’ lawsuit, GloRilla shared a cryptic post on social media. She wrote, “Common sense is essential,” on X (formerly Twitter). Megan Thee Stallion and Soulja Boy appear to have not shared any reactions to the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Megan’s producer, LilJuMadeDaBeat, had a few things to vent and did so with X. He cited TMZ’s post about Plies’ lawsuit with some of the information released.

“’My Dougie’ came out in 2006, ‘Me & My Goons’ came out in 2008. Big E, producer of ‘My Dougie’ is credited on ‘Wanna Be.'”

In a follow-up post, LilJuMadeDaBeat also talked about Soulja Boy’s song being named in the suit. “For the Record ‘Pretty Boy Swag’ is also a remake of ‘My Dougie’. Soulja Boy is featured on the ‘My Dougie’ remix. ‘Me & My Goons’ wasn’t even a single for that Plies album,” the producer wrote.

While Plies registered online about Kamala Harris’ loss in the presidential election, he has yet to settle his copyright infringement lawsuit.
