This installation is called Deus in Machina (God In Machine). According to DW, it has features powered by AI The booth features a display of Jesus’ face brought to life by a curved screen. Before entering, visitors are advised not to disclose personal information and are warned to use the service at their own risk. They must press a button to indicate their consent. Once inside, they were greeted by the living face of Jesus, who communicated with them in more than 100 languages. This ability allows AI to assist people of diverse faiths from around the world.

However, it ultimately redirects users to ponder with a question: “How can you promote peace and harmony in your life?”

Another person who entered the confession room told DW: “It was easy, and even though it was a machine it gave me a lot of advice. Also, from a Christian point of view, I felt care and I walked out really comforted.”

Why was AI Jesus installed in Lucerne, Switzerland?
