Bishop TD Jakes’ daughter speaks out after his medical emergency

Bishop Jakes shook his parishioners on Sunday (November 24) when he appeared to have a medical problem during a church service. Hours after the incident, his daughter, Sarah Jakes Robertswas on social media with her husband, Touré Robertsto update her father’s followers.

Sarah and her husband began their video message by admitting that the day had been “interesting” and “difficult.” She also thanked her supporters for their prayers and concerns for Bishop Jakes. The post was shared on Touré’s Instagram page.

“We feel those prayers. Obviously, today could be a tragic day, but it is not, by God’s mercy, by God’s grace,” Touré said. “Bishop is healthy, he is recovering well. He is receiving medical care. He is strong.”

Mr Roberts added that they were trying to persuade Bishop Jakes to “sit down” but admitted that the church leader was “strong”. As for how supporters can help, Touré asks everyone to keep praying! Sarah Jakes Roberts Jakes added that her father has recovered. She said the medical incident was a reminder “love your near and dear ones,” especially with the holiday season approaching.

As previously reported, the virus footage shows TD Jakes convulsed on stage for a moment while holding the mic. The incident occurred during his service at the Dallas, Texas reserve. After clips of the shocking livestream moment began circulating on social media, the church spoke out. In its statement, The Potter’s House said Bishop Jakes is “stable and under the care of medical professionals.”

It’s unclear what caused TD Jakes to tremble on stage and what additional symptoms he is being treated for. It’s also unclear whether he will return to the pulpit for his popular sermons this week. As of Monday morning, Bishop Jakes had yet to speak directly to his supporters, either on or off camera.
