Etihad adds Atlanta as part of its 10-destination expansion plan by 2025
Etihad Airlines will add Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) to its map next year as part of a 10-destination, three-continent expansion announced on Monday.
The Gulf airline will connect Atlanta to its hub at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) four times a week starting July 2. - Taipei, Taiwan, on a Boeing 787 from September 7
- Medan, Indonesia, on the Airbus A321LR from October 3
- Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on the A321LR from October 3
- Krabi, Thailand, on the A321LR from October 9
- Tunis, Tunisia, on the A321LR from 1 November
- Chiang Mai, Thailand on the A321LR from November 3
- Hanoi, Vietnam on the A321LR aircraft from November 3
- Hong Kong on the 787 from 3 November
- Algiers, Algeria, on the A321LR from 7 November
The airline previously announced plans to add El Alamein International Airport (DBB) in Egypt, Vaclav Havel Prague Airport (PRG) and Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) to its map in June and next July.
Etihad’s latest expansion is anchored by the A321LR, a longer-range variant of the popular A321neo that can fly up to 4,600 miles. JetBlue Airways uses the same aircraft for transatlantic flights, including nonstop flights six European airports from Boston and JFK.
De said in October that Etihad expected to have its first A321LRs early next year and planned to reveal product details on the aircraft at the end of February.

“It will have a full flat bed, access to every aisle and the best product Etihad has to offer,” he said.

The 13 new destinations Etihad has announced for 2025 include seven second-tier cities in Europe and Asia, spanning from Prague to Hanoi and Krabi.
