Zenless Zone Zero’s secret character Asaba Harumasa teased

HoYoVerse shared a new one Non-Zen zone The trailer features Asaba Harumasa, the free S-class character, and it hints at a big secret for the Agent. The nearly four-minute video is mostly an animated segment, with some gameplay mixed in, as it introduces his background.

Before Asaba was added to the game, trailer and first impressions suggests that he is an ordinary, perhaps even a bit lazy, member of Section 6. He wears Japanese-style clothing, is an archer with a bow that can turn into a blade, and always wears a bracelet The neck has an X on it. The beginning of his Character Demo video features a scarier version of the character experiencing flashbacks to his childhood. We found medication on his nightstand and a report with information crossed out.

After receiving the assignment, Asaba started working. When he looks into the mirror, we see a moment where instead of his reflection, we see a pure enemy. When he was outside, people were staring at him, taking pictures, asking who he was, assuming he was a monster who hurt others. From there, it cuts to gameplay footage of him facing a Hollow enemy. However, as it is, we also see a flashback to a younger version of Asaba being injected with something and able to transform into Ethereal. From there, we see him set out on another quest, once again experiencing flashbacks and feelings that hint at a darker path. When saving a child in the Hollow, the child sees an Ethereal in his place.

All Non-Zen zone Players receive Asaba Harumasa for free after the 1.4 update. While he will also appear on the banner, HoYoVerse announced that the character will also be temporarily delivered to people’s inboxes.
