Details on TikTok star’s arrest after chemical spray on Walmart items

Charles Smith, aka Wolfie Kahleti, recorded a now-deleted video of himself wearing a black hoodie and pink bandana while spraying toxic chemicals all over Walmart items in an east side store south Phoenix, according to the New York Post. While filming, he sprayed chemicals on a series of products, including bananas, apples, lemons, oranges and even some roasted chicken wrapped in plastic. After spraying the items, Kahletti filmed himself throwing them into the cart and throwing them away.

Police said Khaletti intentionally entered Walmart with the intention of filming a prank for his TikTok account. In addition, the authorities also said: ABC7Chicago that Wolfie Kahletti caused nearly $1,000 in damage to the product.

fox10 announced that Khaletti faces felony charges for introducing a toxic substance and three misdemeanor charges: criminal damage, endangerment and theft. He voluntarily surrendered to police on December 21.

Walmart spoke up after Wolfie Kahletti’s video went viral

After Wolfie Kahletti’s video went viral, a spokesperson responded to the incident. A Walmart spokesperson told the New York Post that they have removed the affected products and cleaned the store. The New York Post reports that a conviction for consumer product tampering could send a suspect to prison for five to 20 years.
