Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind The first major update is now live on Switch

Original story: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind made its debut on Switch last week, and so far it’s received a relatively good response from critics and fans alike.
That being said, not everything is available on every platform (like online play), but the developers are working on it and have now rolled out the first major update. The Switch version is expected to receive this update “soon”. Here’s exactly what you can expect:
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind UPDATED: December 2024
“We’ve received suggestions from many players over the past few days, and we’re happy to announce that we’re rolling out improvements to Rita’s Rewind to tweak different parts of the game based on response. These changes are available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 right now, but all players on other platforms will receive this update soon.”
Brawler game
- All Rangers now move faster (walk and dash speed)
- Ranger and Grab attack speed increased
- Rangers can perform Dodge without any cooldown, but are only invulnerable during the first frames of the animation
- In Easy mode, Dodge is always invulnerable
- Ranger can chain Rising Strike from multiple clans
- Rangers can Dodge while holding enemies to release
- The Ranger Special gets a power boost thanks to the successful Dodge
- The Time Disruptor’s vertical attack collision is wider, making them more vulnerable to attack
- Time disruptors are easier to kill on Easy mode
- Food scavenging will be more widespread when spawning from containers
- On Hard mode, enemies now have the same amount of health as Normal but deal twice as much damage
- The Speed Run meter is no longer affected by Time Disruptor
- The player can trade with any other NPC Ranger in the Juice Bar
- Localized juice bar dialog for arcade machines is now correct
Zord & Megazord Game
- All machine gun fire (hunks, turrets, and airships) now deal less damage
- Gravity is reduced when jumping to make the pit easier to cross
- Falling into a hole will not take away your life
- Some holes now have additional ledges for landing
- When multiple players are fighting a boss and some players reach a Game Over state, the difficulty (Zord health and damage dealt) will increase accordingly.
- Harvester encounters have been balanced; Laser speed and laser damage are reduced at lower difficulty levels
- The Megazord boss’s health has been reduced and the damage dealt to the boss has been balanced
- Health boosts now appear in Zord boss battles
- Eye Guy’s eye bombs do less damage, and on lower difficulties his bombs appear less frequently
- At higher difficulty levels, the health coin benefits will gradually decrease
Online
- If both online players have Green Ranger unlocked, they have the option to start their game from any level
- Please note that all online players have the latest game updates to participate in successful matchmaking
Overview
- Intro video skipping indicator has been improved.
- Improved overall stability and performance
- PS5: Fixed some crashes
- PS5: Fixed a save file issue that prevented players from starting a new playthrough after completing the game.
