Tyler Perry urges insurance companies to cancel policies before a fire occurs
On Sunday, January 12, Tyler Perry shared a lengthy message above Instagram after witnessing a woman using a garden hose to protect her 90-year-old parents’ home because their insurance was canceled. This moment made the filmmaker question insurance companies taking people’s money but abandoning them when they need insurance the most.
“Does anyone find it appalling that insurance companies can take billions of dollars out of communities for years and then, suddenly, are allowed to cancel millions of policies on the very people they became rich? “People who have paid insurance premiums all their lives will have nothing left because of pure greed,” Perry wrote.
Additionally, Perry shared that he is praying for those affected by the fires. He also revealed that he is working to find ways to support.

More information about canceled policies
